Article 11: Animal Husbandry (Original LUR Text)

No animals, livestock or poultry of any kind shall be raised, bred, or kept on any lot except that dogs, cats or other common household pets may be kept provided that they are not kept, bred or maintained for commercial purposes.

What It Means (Plain-Language Interpretation)

You cannot keep or raise animals such as chickens, goats, cows, pigs, or other livestock on your property. However, standard household pets—like dogs and cats—are allowed, as long as they are not being used for breeding or business (commercial) purposes.

How This Affects Us

This limits homeowners to only keeping typical pets and prevents the development of backyard farms or kennels. It helps reduce noise, odors, and the chance of disputes between neighbors caused by animals that may roam, make noise, or cause property damage.

Why This Matters to Us

This restriction helps maintain the suburban and aviation-oriented character of Sports Flyer's Estates. It protects residents from the disturbances and risks that come with farm animals or commercial pet operations, ensuring a quiet and clean environment while still allowing families to enjoy the companionship of household pets.
