Article 16: Maximum Height of Antennae (Original LUR Text)
No radio or television aerial wires or antennae shall be maintained on any portion of any residential lot forward of the front building line of said lot; nor shall any free-standing antennae of any style ten (10) feet above the height of the roof of a structure on said lot. In no event shall an antenna extend above fifty (50) feet from the surface of the ground.
What It Means (Plain-Language Interpretation)
You cannot place antennae in front of the house (must be behind the front building line).A free-standing antenna can only extend up to 10 feet above the roofline of your residence. No antenna can be taller than 50 feet above ground, no matter what. Intent: prevent unsightly towers, protect aesthetics, and reduce hazards.
How This Affects Us
Limits very tall ham-radio masts, experimental towers, or freestanding poles.Ensures all antennas remain behind the home to preserve curb appeal.Prevents aviation-related safety issues from excessively tall structures in an airpark community.
Why This Matters to Us
Uniformity: Both subdivisions share the same antenna limits, simplifying future consolidation of LURs.Aviation safety: Reduced risk of tall obstructions near taxiways, drive paths, and home hangars.
