Article 9: Storage of Automobiles, Boats, Trailers and Other Vehicles (Original LUR Text)

No boat trailers, boats, travel trailers, truck trailer, inoperative automobiles, campers or vehicles of any kind are to be stored more than forty-eight hours in the public street right-of-way or on driveways. Permanent and semi-permanent storage of such items and vehicles must be screened from public view, either within the garage or behind the fence which encloses a portion of the rear of the lot.

What It Means (Plain-Language Interpretation)

Vehicles like boats, trailers, RVs, inoperable cars, and campers can’t be left out in the open—on the street or in driveways—for more than 48 hours. If you want to store them longer, they must be hidden from public view, either inside your garage or behind a fence that encloses the back of your lot.

How This Affects Us

This limits how long residents can park or store unsightly or oversized vehicles in public view. If you own a boat, camper, or similar item, you'll need to plan for proper storage in a screened area. Violations may lead to complaints from neighbors or enforcement actions.

Why This Matters to Us

Visible storage of vehicles and trailers can make the neighborhood look cluttered or neglected, which may reduce property values and the overall appeal of Sports Flyer's Estates. This rule protects the community’s image and ensures a clean, orderly environment that attracts future homeowners and supports investment in our properties.
